Part of the Sydenham green festival, we housed our collective indoors and created a temple like ceremonial space. We transformed a community hall into an illuminated, sensorial environment that distilled our Greenway residencies into discrete rituals based around a rarified long lunch. We created new ceremonial robes inspired by ancient seasonal rituals and drew on symbolism linked to bees and harvest. Drawing on the senses, we guided visitors through sensory stations inspired by the way bees navigate. We explored heightened attunement through the perceptual lenses of bees and multifaceted, ultra-violet vision, touch, taste and smell. The experience converged over a long lunch over tastings of honey made from different flora and regions and storytelling.
